From Cape Cod to the Caribbean!
Hey there! I'm Kristin, a Cape Cod, Massachusetts girl who traded New England winters and hospital shifts for sunshine, sandy toes, and island life in Belize!
I spent 20 years working as a registered nurse, including in the ICU, ER, and as a COVID travel nurse. After years of caring for others, I decided it was time for a little adventure of my own. In June 2024, I took a leap of faith, bought Coconut Carts, and moved to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize.
Today, I'm living my island dream, running businesses I love, and helping visitors discover everything this beautiful island has to offer. I'm also a co-owner of Secret Beach Boat Shuttle and Belize Wellness, so life here keeps me busy in the best possible way!
Meet My Adventure Buddy, Nala!
Of course, no introduction would be complete without Nala! I adopted her from SAGA Humane Society right here in San Pedro, and she's become a huge part of my life and my Belize adventure.
Nala absolutely LOVES riding around the island in the golf cart! Whether we're cruising through town or taking in the sights, she's always happy to come along for the ride.
Why Coconut Carts?
When I bought Coconut Carts, I wanted to create more than just a golf cart rental business. I've put a tremendous amount of time, hard work, and love into rebuilding and upgrading my carts with custom features to make exploring Ambergris Caye more comfortable, convenient, and fun.
As a small, woman-owned business, I also love sharing the island I now call home. Through my social media, I create videos showcasing local businesses, island events, places to visit, and adorable pets looking for their forever homes at SAGA Humane Society. I believe Coconut Carts can be about more than golf carts — it's a way to help visitors discover the island while supporting the local community and animals in need.
